I’m the face of the practice here in Bryanston, and I’m so glad you’ve taken the time to get to know me. I’m passionate about hearing health, and I’m here to give you the highest level of patient-centred care.
Professional background
Trained at UP. Master’s at UCT.
I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria and went on to complete my master’s degree at the University of Cape Town. My education gave me a solid foundation in audiology, but it’s my curiosity, and my drive to stay on top of the latest advances in hearing technology, that truly fuel my practice.
Before opening my own practice I worked as a corporate audiologist at Unitron, and my master’s research at UCT looked at the ideal characteristics of a listening device: what people actually want from the technology they wear. Audiology is always evolving, and I’m excited by how new innovations keep improving the lives of people with hearing loss.

I have been hearing impaired since birth, and stuck with one audiologist, from young until she retired a couple years ago. I have struggled to find one who I can connect with and trust again. Since finding Alexia, I have been blown away by her level of care and compassion; she truly takes the time to get to know her clients and their needs and wants, and has enormous amounts of patience when it comes to fine-tuning the aids to my preferences.
Alexia is a confidence inspiring professional for what can be a very daunting experience. She is very skilled & knowledgable & able to use terms that are easily understood. Requiring hearing aids is a huge thing for the elderly but with patience & empathy, Mum felt like she had been given options.
